You can check the version number of the application in the GPS system settings.
To do this, press and hold Info / Route on the central control or press the right context-sensitive key on the remote control. The software version is displayed on the right of the route summary screen.
If the version number of the application is earlier than version 8.843, then the system must be updated.

Mobile Speed Cameras
The TomTom Mobile Speed Cameras gives you advanced warnings on fixed speed cameras and real-time warnings for mobile speed cameras. This services warns about the following cameras:
LIVE QuickGPSfix
Your Carminat TomTom device uses the signals of at least 4 satellites to find out where you are in order to start navigating. The LIVE QuickGPSfix speeds up the time it takes to fix your GPS position, helping you to set off within 30 seconds - even when the GPS signal is weak or partially blocked.
Weather
This service gives you local, daily, and five-day forecasts on your TomTom device, helping you make plans based on the weather.
TomTom Places
TomTom Places allows you to search for certain specific locations and businesses in order to navigate to these.

The first step is to download the TomTom HOME application and register with TomTom.
You can find instructions on how to download and register with TomTom, as well as the installer itself here
Through this application you may view the content in your device, download any products and services, and personalise your device.
Once you have registered and downloaded the TomTom HOME application you may now take care of the SD Card.
